Partnership with Lake Norman Tennis Center Is More than Just Tennis
OrthoCarolina takes pride in forming partnerships with sports organizations throughout the community, from professional teams, to youth leagues.
One of these partnerships is with Lake Norman Tennis Center, a state-of-the art tennis facility focused as much on high quality courts as they are programs that promote fitness year around.
The Center is located at Talbert Pointe Business Park in Mooresville and is currently home to five indoor courts, six clay courts and three hard courts outside.
A unique feature of the indoor courts is their rubberized cushioned surface that helps prevent wear on knees and joints. The surface was developed in partnership with OrthoCarolina.
“We try to partner with folks that are best in breed,” said Center cofounder Ryan Heider. “OrthoCarolina is the best and helps us have a premier facility.”
The indoor courts are heated, ventilated and have professional grade lighting, allowing for all-weather tennis that keeps members active and involved year round. Consistent play throughout the winter months means weekend warriors are less likely to get injured in the springtime.
As a part of its commitment to fitness and health, the Center also offers a cardio tennis program with medical grade heart rate monitors. Athletes wear watches that track heart rate and calorie burn so they can achieve maximum cardio burn.
The Center’s focus on providing a great tennis experience as well as fitness and health has impressed the physicians at OrthoCarolina, some of whom are members of the Center.
“The 5 indoor courts are well lit with a soft surface that is easy on the joints yet maintain a realistic bounce,” said Dr. Alex Chasnis, OrthoCarolina physician and player at Lake Norman Tennis Center. “The tennis center is a great option for individuals and families to enjoy the game even in cold winter months.”
