1.) What do you like most about being a team member at OrthoCarolina?
OrthoCarolina has dedicated employees who are constantly putting the patient first. It is very satisfying to work with managers and administrators who help each other provide the best service to our patients. My coworkers are positive and energetic, and we certainly laugh a lot. And we have a few jokesters who help make the day lively!

2.) Which of OrthoCarolina’s core values means the most to you?

Community and service. I truly value the time I spend with my coworkers volunteering in the community, from sponsoring children at Christmas to collecting coats. OrthoCarolina always seems to have some community service event going on, and our employees step up and are very generous. I also recognize that the service to our patients is paramount, and as an administrator, I take ownership to address and resolve any concerns.

3.) How do you embody these core values on a daily basis?

Each day, I have an opportunity to promote teamwork, not only in my specific work but from each of my departments. We seek ways to work with other departments to improve how we take care of patients. For example, if a patient has a financial need, I can work directly with Customer Service to work out payment plans to get the patient the services they need.

4.) What are some of your outside hobbies or interests?

I love to golf, fly fish, bike ride and camp. I love traveling in my motorhome to different campgrounds and enjoy the beautiful outdoors.

5.) What's your favorite restaurant in the Charlotte area?

300 East in Dilworth. Great variety of eclectic and healthy choices.

6.) Finally, what's your favorite part of working at OrthoCarolina?

Over 27 years, I have enjoyed the combination of working with a great team and helping our patients. As a physical therapist, I love working in orthopedic and sports, and as an administrator.
