OrthoCarolina is proud to welcome our two newest physicians to the team. Vikram Arora, DO, is a fellowship-trained physiatrist practicing at OrthoCarolina Winston-Salem, and Edward Walker, MD, is a fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeon practicing at OrthoCarolina Lincolnton.


ABOUT DR. Vikram Arora

Vikram Arora, DO | Physiatry

Dr. Arora earned his Doctor of Osteopathy from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). He served as Chief Resident in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Temple University Hospital/Moss Rehab in Philadelphia, then completed his interventional spine fellowship at Northeastern Rehabilitation Associates in Bethlehem, Penn.

“Throughout medical school I found that pain was a significant limitation for patients, functionally as well as psychologically. I chose physical medicine and rehabilitation with a focus on improving patients'  pain, quality of life and function through a multidisciplinary treatment approach. I further specialized in interventional spine care to offer more ways to achieve that goal."

Outside of the office, Dr. Arora enjoys spending time with his wife, two young children and dog. His favorite hobbies include traveling, cooking, golfing and watching sports. 


ABOUT DR. Edward Walker

Dr. Walker earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois-Chicago at Rockford. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California San Francisco-Fresno and his sports medicine fellowship at Houston Methodist. 

While at Houston Methodist, Dr. Walker's team coverage included the Houston Astros, Houston Texans, Houston Dynamo and Rice University (NCAA Division 1). at Chicago Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident.

“I enjoy problem solving and developing relationships with patients. I chose orthopedic surgery because I can assist in the restoration of function and quality of life to patients through the use of my hands.
I chose OrthoCarolina because of its outstanding reputation and its team of likeminded physicians. I wanted to be a part of a team that is passionate about continuously pursuing excellence in patient care.”

Outside of the office, Dr. Walker cherishes spending time with his wife and seven children. He also enjoys mountaineering, SCUBA diving, skydiving and participating in any activity that contributes to overall fitness.
