Biography
Dr. Hamid specializes in treating disorders of the shoulder and elbow. He completed his fellowship training in shoulder and elbow surgery at the esteemed Shoulder and Elbow Center at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He also traveled to Nice, France for further training in advanced arthroscopic shoulder surgery and complex shoulder reconstruction. He has published numerous scientific articles and book chapters pertaining to rotator cuff disease, shoulder arthritis, and post-traumatic elbow disorders. He currently serves on the editorial review board for the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. He currently serves the role of Lead Physician at the OrthoCarolina Shoulder and Elbow Center and is the Site Director for the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at CHS Mercy Hospital. Dr. Hamid has recently been invited to join the prestigious American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons.
