Amy's Journey from Amputation to Custom Arm Prosthetic
Following Amy Remer's cancer diagnosis in 2017, her care team was forced to amputate her left arm at the shoulder, and her insurance claim for a specialized prosthetic arm was denied. Amy recently received a donated custom robotic arm through the organization Arms for All, founded by two OrthoCarolina physicians.
