Sports MedicineEmily Wagner, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in pediatric orthopedics and sports medicine. She works alongside Dr. Christian Clark in several clinic locations to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care. Emily is passionate about helping pediatric patients recover from injuries and return safely and confidently to the activities that they enjoy.
Emily earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Emory University, graduating with Highest Honors. During her training, she received the Professional Achievement Award in recognition of her academic excellence, leadership, and service. Emily received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan in Biology, Health & Society, graduating with Highest Distinction. She worked as a research assistant in the University of Michigan Orthopedic Rehabilitation and Biomechanics Laboratory, contributing to studies on ACL injury recovery, movement analysis, injury prevention, and return-to-sport outcomes.
Emily’s passion for pediatric orthopedics is rooted in clinical training, research, and a lifelong commitment to athletics. She grew up as a competitive swimmer and water polo player. Her own ACL injury in high school, and subsequent reconstructive surgery, gave her firsthand experience navigating injury, recovery, and return to sport. This experience, along with years coaching youth swimming and water polo, inspire Emily’s commitment to caring for pediatric patients and their families.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys swimming, running, watching sports (especially Michigan Wolverines football), and exploring new restaurants!
