Biography

Margaret Lynch, PA-C, brings more than two decades of experience in sports medicine, education, and leadership to her role at OrthoCarolina. She currently serves as Lead PA at the Sports Medicine Center and the Founding Assistant Director of the OrthoCarolina PA Fellowship Program. Known for her energy, dedication to education, and patient-first mindset, Margaret provides both clinical care and mentorship across the organization.

Margaret manages a high-volume autonomous clinic, performs surgical first assist for complex sports procedures, and serves as an anchor provider at OrthoCarolina’s after-hours Orthopedic Urgent Care. Her leadership extends to supervising physician assistant students, coordinating educational initiatives, speaking at national conferences, and organizing system-wide APP meetings and retreats.

She holds a Doctor of Medical Science degree from the University of Lynchburg, with certificates in Executive Leadership and Healthcare Administration. Her diverse academic background also includes graduate degrees in Physician Assistant Studies and Health Education, and an undergraduate degree in Sports Science and Leadership Studies from the University of Richmond.

Outside of work, Margaret is the heart of every gathering—organizing group trips, crafting custom jewelry, and spending treasured time with her twin sister Martha, nieces Meredith and Grace, and her partner William. She and William share a love of bourbon and their busy “zoo” of two pups and a cat. Above all, Margaret is driven by a simple joy: making people happy.
