Biography
Jennifer Suckow, PA-C, brings over two decades of experience in orthopedic surgery and clinical care, with a primary focus on total hip and knee arthroplasty. Since joining OrthoCarolina in 2015, she has served as the lead Physician Assistant for the Hip & Knee Center, where she balances a busy surgical and clinical practice with strategic leadership responsibilities. As the primary PA lead, Jen oversees a team of advanced practice providers, streamlining OR coverage, mentoring new team members, and collaborating with physician leaders on initiatives to improve efficiency and patient outcomes.
Jen began her career at Midwest Orthopaedics at RUSH, specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery. Over the years, she has expanded her scope across multiple disciplines—including orthopedic trauma, emergency medicine, and surgical support across all specialties. Her experience includes clinical education, call coverage at Level II trauma centers, and participating in orthopedic mission work through OpWalk Carolinas.
In addition to her clinical duties, Jen is passionate about leadership development. She serves as an executive coach within the organization and is an active preceptor and guest lecturer for several PA and athletic training programs across the region. Her contributions to research in arthroplasty have been recognized through national publications and a Clinical Research Award from AAHKS.
Outside of medicine, Jen enjoys traveling, staying active as a runner and triathlete, and wine tasting with her husband.
"Leadership is not about being in charge. Leadership is about taking care of those in your charge." — Simon Sinek
