via WCCB Charlotte

Friday will mark three weeks since Tiffany Johnson lost her arm in a terrifying shark attack in the Bahamas.

“When we were still in the hospital I went to go wash my hands and realized I can’t scrub my hands together, and I started to get kind of teary-eyed,” said Johnson.

Each day is an adjustment for this mother of three.

“I know there will be days when it’s just going to suck, you know? And that’s normal,” said Johnson. “But, in the grand scheme of things, I’m here, and I’m blessed to be here.”

Johnson allowed WCCB Charlotte to go with her Thursday as doctors at OrthoCarolina removed her stitches and prepared her for her first prosthetic.
