OrthoCarolina’s Commitment to Athletic Directors and Sports Coaches
If you know OrthoCarolina, you know that we’re passionate about sports,
including our local and regional college teams. It’s our honor to have
been chosen as the official team physicians for many of these schools,
and our providers spend countless medical service hours on and off the
field caring for student athletes and managing musculoskeletal care.
Athletics
teach character, teamwork, competition, camaraderie, commitment and
sacrifice. All these skills are necessary and present in orthopedic
surgery. We enjoy working with our athletic training colleagues, coaches
and athletic administrators to improve the processes involved in care
of athletes. This “teamwork” approach for care drives all facets of our
practice.

How one Physician Assistant Keeps High School Athletes in the Game
Friday night football is a familiar past time. Many groups come together to create the action on and off the field from the game itself to the band and bleachers of cheering spectators. On the sidelines, you expect to see players and coaches, but you may also see medical staff like Tony Connot who are at the ready to attend to any injuries.
