Biography
Emilie is an experienced Physician Assistant with a career spanning over 15 years in orthopedic surgery. She currently practices at the OrthoCarolina Spine Center alongside Dr. Alfred Rhyne, providing comprehensive care for patients with complex spinal conditions. Her work includes clinical evaluations, surgical first assist, inpatient rounding, and patient education. Emilie began her PA career in a competitive orthopedic residency and has since developed a broad background in orthopedic trauma, spine, and foot and ankle surgery. Before joining OrthoCarolina in 2018, she practiced in Chicago and suburban Illinois, where she worked in both hospital and private practice settings. Emilie earned her B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan and her Master of Science in Medicine from Western Michigan University.
Outside of the OR, Emilie is passionate about fitness challenges, creative cooking, and spending time in her backyard with her husband and their dog. She’s an avid college football fan and a proud former trumpet player in the University of Michigan marching band.
