Biography
Dr. Gilchrist was born and raised in Pennsylvania. After completing his education and training, he held academic positions at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center as Assistant Professor for the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, and at the Moss Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a physiatrist, Dr. Gilchrist is well known in the field of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. He has co-authored two book chapters in Low Back Pain: Diagnosis and Treatment, and has over 10 published articles. Dr. Gilchrist enjoys all outdoor activities and sports especially; golf, tennis, basketball, and is looking forward to making Hickory his home.
