The overall educational goals of this training program are to train thoughtful, ethical experts in the field of sports medicine who will succeed and lead in any practice environment they choose.  Supportive goals to this end include high proficiency in sports-related research, efficiency in the surgical and non-surgical care of athletes at all levels of sport, and sub-niche expertise in multi-ligamentous knee reconstruction, cartilage restoration, open shoulder, primary and revision arthroplasty, and hip arthroscopy.

A 1:1 faculty to fellow mentorship – each rotation repeated once during the year – and the flexibility to hone sub-niche experiences to meet specific practice demands provides an exceptional immersion in the nuances of practice demands, non-surgical alternatives, surgical indications, intraoperative decision making, and the management of complications.
