I saw a slide about this in presentation at a EDS conference. I have EDS so my ligaments are prone to dysfunction. I have AFTL dysfunction in both feet (plus a collection of miscellaneous issues) that leads to ankle instability. I saw some reports that would indictate that reconstruction using allografts plus reinforcement with synthetic is better for EDS patients. But like many EDS patients I'm prone to suture rejection. So I'm hestitant to use synthetics. So next month I am going to have my left foot reconstructed with allografts at Brigham and Woman's . Then after I can walk again I will have my right foot done. I would consider prompting my doctor to try this on my right foot and compare the difference in the two. Is this something that is available to other doctors. I have an athletic teen developing the same thing. So I am interested. I'm not a doctor. I'm an engineer. Is your product still considered experimental? There are so many of us zebras who get turned away from help because "there is not point in doing surgery that will fail". Many of us get completely debilitated. It just doesn't seem right. Thank you for prosuing this because it can help a lot of people. I look forward to learning more.
