Dr. Jeremy C. Johnson graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University. He earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in 1998 where he was honored with the Compassionate Physician Award. In his junior year of medical school, Dr. Johnson was awarded membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Society for distinguished academic accomplishment.

Dr. Johnson completed his Internship and Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Johnson was actively involved in research and shared the responsibility of team physician for the Charlotte Sting (WNBA). Dr. Johnson's residency was followed by a year of fellowship training. At the Southern California Orthopaedic Institute he specialized in sports medicine and the arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder with an emphasis on minimally invasive procedures. During his fellowship training, Dr. Johnson completed numerous research projects and acted as team physician for many high school and college sports teams.

Currently, Dr. Johnson is the head team physician for the Lenoir Rhyne Bears.  He also acts as a team physician for the Hickory Crawdads and many local high school and middle school teams.

Dr. Johnson is committed to the advancement of the field of orthopedics.  He offers the latest in operative and non-operative treatments including the use of office ultrasound to diagnose and treat his patients.

Dr. Johnson enjoys sharing his knowledge and skills with other physicians and acts as a lab faculty member at "The Napa Course-Advancements in shoulder and hip arthroscopy" in Napa, California.

Dr. Johnson is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, as well as a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
