Dr. Yates Dunaway earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his medical degreefrom Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem. He completed his residency and internship at Carolinas Medical Center and received a sports medicine fellowship at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Dunaway is an integral part of OrthoCarolina's Sports Medicine Center which handles the treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. He is also the team physician for Charlotte Catholic High School.

When time allows, Dr. Dunaway enjoys working in his yard and playing golf. Dr. Dunaway is respected for his unique ability to not only inform, but also to teach his patients about their particular condition or injury.
