OrthoCarolina offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
Medical, Dental and Vision
Our two medical plans have different deductible options. Prescription drug and vision coverage is included with the medical insurance. OrthoCarolina also offers affordable dental coverage. Provided by Aetna, these plans are available for employees, spouses and children.
Life Insurance
OrthoCarolina provides for the full cost of basic term life insurance at two times the employee’s annual salary. Additional supplemental insurance is available for employees, spouses and dependents at very competitive prices. The additional term life insurance allows coverage up to $650,000 for employees.
Disability Insurance
Short- and long-term disability insurance is a company-paid benefit that provides partial income protection if employees are unable to work due to injuries or illnesses.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Flexible spending accounts allow employees to save money on their taxes. Even with excellent health and dental coverage, there are some out-of-pocket costs. The flexible spending account provides a way to pay for these costs with before-tax dollars. Employees who must utilize day care providers while they are at work can also utilize a daycare spending account to pay most or all of their day care expenses with tax-free money.
Retirement Plans
OrthoCarolina wants to help plan for its employees’ futures. We contribute a percentage of salaries into 401(k) plans. Employees are eligible to defer a percentage of their eligible compensation into the plan, up to the IRS maximum per year. Employees receive automatic vesting in the 401(k) plan, and rollovers are allowed. A discretionary profit-sharing contribution may be given to employees.
Paid Time Off
This benefit is offered to all employees. Time off accrues with years of service. Employees are eligible to roll over accumulated time from year to year.
