OrthoCarolina offers physical therapy and hand therapy at 12 locations throughout the region to assist patients in their recovery and rehabilitation. Working closely with our physicians, our therapy staff specializes in orthopedic and sports conditions to provide excellent rehabilitation services. Our facilities are equipped with the latest technology and equipment, and our therapists participate in numerous continuing education seminars to remain updated on the latest treatment techniques. In addition, OrthoCarolina therapists participate with our physicians to sponsor numerous seminars and continuing education courses each year.
Our hand therapy team is comprised of specialty-trained occupational and physical therapists who provide expertise in upper extremity rehabilitation and splinting. Several staff members are certified hand therapists who meet the extensive requirements and pass a certification exam issued by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission Inc.
In addition, our physical therapy staff members are trained in many orthopedic and sports specialty areas. They are strength and conditioning specialists, athletic trainers, and orthopedic or sports clinical specialists as certified by the American Physical Therapy Association. We work as a team with our specialty physicians to provide rehabilitation for foot and ankle disorders, shoulder and elbow disorders, spine problems and hip and knee disorders. Our therapists are skilled in manual therapy techniques, and design individual exercise programs to expedite the rehabilitation process and maximize function.
In addition to convenient locations, we offer appointment hours that accommodate busy schedules. We can schedule appointments from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
