The OrthoCarolina Hickory team is comprised of eight orthopedic surgeons, including William Pekman, MD; Mark McGinnis, MD; Peter Hurley, MD; Jeffrey Knapp, MD; William Geideman, MD; Jeremy Johnson, MD; Jason Norcross, MD; and Brian Krenzel, MD. The practice also includes physiatrists Russell Gilchrist, DO, and Kinjal Sohagia, MD.

“Hickory patients can expect us to build on the commitment to quality, service, community and teamwork they know from our team,” said Dr. Pekman. “In addition, we will work with OrthoCarolina to meet the requirements of healthcare reform as efficiently as possible.”

The Hickory Orthopaedic merger is OrthoCarolina’s fourth since late 2010. The practice has grown to include more than 125 physicians at 25 offices located throughout the Carolinas.
