Dr. Scott Smith Joins OrthoCarolina Huntersville
Dr. Scott Smith has joined OrthoCarolina’s Huntersville office, located on the Presbyterian Hospital campus at 10030 Gilead Road.
“Dr. Smith joins a team of exceptional physicians and researchers here at OrthoCarolina,” said Dr. Dan Murrey, chief executive officer of OrthoCarolina. “Dr. Smith’s experience in joint replacement and arthroscopic surgery, and familiarity with the Huntersville and Lake Norman area, will provide our patients with the excellent care they’ve come to expect.”
Dr. Smith earned his bachelor’s degree in both chemistry and zoology at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery in Charlotte. Dr. Smith specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee, joint replacement and fracture care.
Dr. Smith is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Prior to joining OrthoCarolina, he managed his own practice, SouthLake Orthopedics in Huntersville.
